Flor de Maria Portal
Known as TIA (Aunt), she was born in an Italian-Peruvian family growing with strong values related to family and the importance to care for children. She graduated as a Computer Programmer in the late 80's but her passion to work with children made her continue her education obtaining an A.A. in Early Childhood Education. She became the co-director of Way of Life Children's Home in Lima-Peru. She, her husband Guillermo and her three daughters moved to the orphanage and cared for more than 20 kids. Flor and her family moved to the States in 1998. Flor worked as a Spanish teacher in a private school in Tennessee. In 2003, she took care of the After-Care program in a local private school in Wayland, Massachusetts. In 2007, she decided to open her own business creating Morning Star Family Day Care. Tia is the most inspirational and essential part of the business because of her kind and nurturing nature! When needed she helps her husband organize and mobilize volunteers in missions trips organizing children's programs overseas.
Born in Lima, Peru and raised in a military family he graduated as a lieutenant in 1996. He then went on to business school getting a certificate in Business. Later, he graduated from World Bible College in Peru and became a Minister of the Gospel, taking the position of co-director of the Way of Life Children's Home. He and his family moved to the US in 1998 and started organizing overseas missions trips helping to rebuild orphanages, and develop children's programs in Guatemala, Peru, Kenya, Brazil and Colombia. In 2007, he became a child care provider being one of the three male care providers at the time in the whole area of Metrowest. Now he is known as PAPA WILLY for all the kids in our day care. He currently holds an A.S. in Accounting and Finances.
She is our lovely ANTO, she graduated in 2009 from Regis College with a B.S. in Business and Leadership and holds a state certification as teacher for preschool, infants and toddlers.. After working in the corporate world for a while, she decided to join our daycare and be an entrepreneur. Her natural charisma and personality make her an important asset to our daycare. Also Anto went to many mission trips overseas programs organizing and performing the children's program and drama teams. Presently she is working towards her Masters in Family Counseling and Mental Health.
